NY Times: Intel Claims Breakthrough in Chip Making. Researchers for Intel say they have discovered a new material that they believe will permit them to overcome one of the most serious obstacles facing chip makers as they struggle to shrink computer chips to ever smaller dimensions.

PC World: FCC Endorses Built-In Copy Controls. A broadcast flag is a single bit added to the data stream of broadcast DTV programming. By itself, the flag does not protect content. Instead, the FCC is mandating that digital devices check all incoming data for a flag.
