NY Times: Music-Sharing Service at M.I.T. Is Shut Down. To Jonathan Zittrain, who teaches Internet law at Harvard and is a director of the university's Berkman Center for Internet and Society, that incident shows that the world of copyright has grown so arcane that even the major players do not even understand it.

SJ Mercury: Adding style to substance. It used to be that only high-end companies such as Apple Computer or Sony cared about industrial design -- the distinctive look and feel of their products. But in an age when hardware has become a commodity, many more tech companies are coming to realize that aesthetics matter.

Wired News: New Napster Off to a Solid Start. Despite its flexibility, the service can also be confusing. Which songs fall into each category isn't clearly spelled out.

NY Times: In Milan, Working to Unfurl a High-Tech Blanket of Fiber. But critics worry that e.Biscom may be so far ahead of the curve that it will prove to be little more than a flash in the pan.
